A Word from In Better Hands

protecting, equipping, and empowering the most vulnerable

Myanmar is a country rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. Known for its golden pagodas, rolling mountains, and warm-hearted people, it is a nation with deep traditions and strong family values. Yet, beneath the surface, Myanmar continues to face immense challenges that affect its youth and families every day. In many rural areas, poverty is widespread, and opportunities for education and safe employment remain scarce. The contrast between the country’s beauty and the struggles of its people is striking.

The needs in Myanmar are urgent and complex. Decades of conflict and political instability have left many families displaced, and poverty continues to grip entire communities. Youth are often the most affected—many grow up without access to schools, healthcare, or even basic nutrition. Trafficking, forced labor, and unsafe migration remain ongoing threats, particularly for youth who are desperate for a better future. Without intervention, these cycles of poverty and exploitation continue from one generation to the next.

In Better Hands exists to meet these challenges by protecting, equipping, and empowering the most vulnerable. Through Hope for the Child, we provide safe homes where children and youth who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused, or trafficked receive holistic care. Hope for the Village assists youth, families, and entire communities with practical help, skills training, and resources—working to break cycles of poverty before youth are placed at higher risk. Finally, through Hope for the Refugee, we provide care for youth from Myanmar living in Thailand, offering them access to higher education and a chance to pursue brighter futures. Together, these models of ministry form a holistic strategy to rescue, renew, and redeem lives in Christ.

Even with these efforts, the needs remain greater than what we can meet alone. In Better Hands faces limitations in resources, from funding for food, medical care, and school supplies to the ability to expand our safe homes and outreach ministry. Our staff work faithfully, but with more support, we could reach even more youth and families who are still waiting for help. We also long for committed partners who will join us in prayer and financial commitments as we continue this mission in challenging circumstances.

You can help transform lives in Myanmar by partnering with In Better Hands. Your involvement—through financial giving, prayer, or sharing our story—can provide safety, education, and hope for youth who have known so much hardship. Together, we can break cycles of poverty and exploitation, creating new stories of resilience and joy. By standing with us, you become part of a movement that is changing not just individual lives, but the future of Myanmar itself.

Where the money goes

Nothing you Give goes to us

When you donate to an End Adventures event, 90% of all donations goes directly toward impacting youth served by our beneficiary in this county, in Jesus’ name. The other 10% funds administrative costs for our parent organization, New International, a not-for-profit which, in all honesty, helps us do what we do even better. Tax deductible receipts and year end giving statements are provided to all donors. Read more about our financial transparency and accountability standards and practices.
