The Iowa Bike Ride is a tour within RAGBRAI: Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. RAGBRAI presents itself as “the oldest, longest, and largest recreational bicycle touring event in the world.” Held every July, this seven-day journey hosts thousands of riders from all 50 states. It is a ride across Iowa beginning at the western border (the Missouri River) and finishing on the eastern border (the Mississippi River).
RAGBRAI isn’t just a bike ride—it’s a celebration of community, shared challenges, and the joy of the open road. Each day brings scenic views, small-town hospitality, local flavors, and unforgettable connections with new friends. RAGBRAI is an experience that stays with you like no other. This bucket list experience guarantees pork chops, pies, and homemade ice cream stands each day! Dan Kriel, your RAGBRAI Ride Director, describes this week as a cycling event that meets a state fair that meets a family reunion that meets a football tailgate with a little bit of the circus thrown into the mix!
When you join the Iowa Bike Ride with Ends of the Earth Cycling, your RAGBRAI journey becomes more than festivities and personal achievement—it becomes ministry. You’ll ride with a mission-minded community raising awareness and support for the Youth of Myanmar. We will #praypedalrepeat and #prayserverepeat across Iowa to bring hope, encouragement, and God’s love to Myanmar through our beneficiary, In Better Hands. Also, the Iowa Bike Ride is one of Ends Cycling’s Outreach Tours with opportunities to share your faith and your relationship with Jesus as we meet thousands of cyclists and engage the RAGBRAI community.
The RAGBRAI route will be released on January 24th; it’s different each year. Plans for overnight accommodations in host churches will develop throughout the spring. RAGBRAI was built on a camping culture, but your Ride Director will work hard to find hosts for indoor accommodations. Continental breakfast will be provided each day by Ends Cycling. Lunch and dinner will be self-pay at your convenience in the pass-through towns and overnight towns. There will be plenty of options to meet your taste buds’ preferences.
Logistical planning for your transportation in and out of Iowa will be available after the route is announced. Please keep in mind that there are a lot of moving parts in the logistical planning for the Ride Director. We will give updates to registered participants and those interested as the logistical plans develop.
When you register with Ends Cycling for the Iowa Bike Ride, you will receive a “Team Access Code” to use when you register and pay to join our team (Ends of the Earth Cycling 2026 Iowa Bike Ride for the Youth of Myanmar) with RAGBRAI on their website. Cyclists and Support Staff (SAG) must register with RAGBRAI and also pay the RAGBRAI participant fee to join our team on the RAGBRAI website, in addition to the registration fee with Ends.
Until our registration is open, you can obtain our “Team Access Code” by signing up to be notified when our registration opens. Please make sure you have this code before registering with RAGBRAI. Don’t delay, the RAGBRAI fee is tiered, with rates going up periodically. The lowest fee increases on December 31.

Our beneficiary, In Better Hands established Hope for the Refugee, to legally bring Myanmar youth and young adults into northern Thailand to provide them with a safe place to live and grow in their relationship with Christ. Your prayers and funds raised on this tour will help In Better Hands help those who cannot leave Myanmar, as well as rescue at-risk youth out of Myanmar. Help us meet the needs of these youth and #PrayPedalRepeat for the youth of Myanmar!

The majority (90%) of all donations goes directly toward impacting youth served by our beneficiary in this county, in Jesus’ name. The remaining funds (10%) support the administrative costs for our parent organization, New International, a not-for-profit which, in all honesty, helps us do what we do even better. Tax deductible receipts and year end giving statements are provided to all tour participants and donors. Find our more about our financial transparency and accountability standards on our About page.
Are you, or someone you know, in your teens or twenties, interested in participating in this event, but having difficulty paying the registration fee? We may be able to help. Click below for more information and to apply for funding through the Paul Norton Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This event in Iowa will raise prayers, awareness and funds for In Better Hands. The prayers & funds raised from this tour will go toward protecting, equipping, and empowering the most vulnerable. Help us meet that goal and #PrayPedalRepeat or donate for the youth of Myanmar?
