Tour Highlights

Get ready to experience the incredible island of Maui on foot! From lush tropical forests and cascading waterfalls to breathtaking mountain ridgelines, rugged volcanic landscapes, and beautiful coastal scenery, Maui offers an incredible variety of terrain to explore. Throughout the tour, we’ll experience both challenging mountain hikes and easier opportunities along the coast, allowing us to slow down, take in the scenery, and enjoy the beauty of the island together.

Maui’s unique landscape was formed by two major volcanic mountains: Haleakalā, the massive dormant volcano that makes up much of East Maui, and Mauna Kahalawai, the smaller, older volcanic mountain range that forms West Maui. Together, these mountains create the island’s dramatic changes in elevation, terrain, climate, and scenery—from high-elevation volcanic slopes and rugged ridgelines to lush valleys and beautiful Pacific coastlines.

We’ll experience this diversity through hikes including the Halemauʻu Haleakalā Overlook Trail, where we’ll explore the upper slopes of Haleakalā and the Lāhainā Pali Trail from the Ukumehame Trailhead, a challenging, rocky climb through the West Maui Mountains with sweeping views toward the Pacific Ocean and central Maui. Alongside these more strenuous hikes, we’ll also explore easier coastal trails and scenic areas, giving everyone opportunities to experience Maui’s beauty at a more relaxed pace.

But the adventure doesn’t end when we leave the trail! We’ll make time to enjoy some of Maui’s local flavor, including stopping for famous Hawaiian shaved ice and grabbing dinner from local food trucks. These experiences will give us the opportunity to enjoy the island’s culture, food, scenery, and community together as we Pray, Trek, and Repeat for the youth of Thailand.

Itinerary

yes we'll stop for Coffee

Everyone will fly into Maui Hawaii into OGG airport and stay at the Host Church. (Wailuku Union Church)

Orientation will be a time of prayer, team building, and preparation for our time in Hawaii.  It is an important time to come together in unity and understand the culture before we travel.

We will be sleeping at the Host Church

Each day, we hike. This looks like having breakfast, packing up and hitting the trail and having our packed lunches. While, in the evening, we will unpack, go to a local place to have dinner together and have worship before going to bed.

Participants will fly home and out of OGG airport. We will provide designated shuttle time to the airport for you!

Where the money goes

Not to Ends Adventures

Participant registration costs pay for the event itself. The majority (90%) of all fundraising donations goes directly toward impacting youth served by our beneficiary in this county, in Jesus’ name. The remaining funds (10%) support the administrative costs for our parent organization, New International, a not-for-profit, which helps us do what we do even better. Tax deductible receipts and year end giving statements are provided to all event participants and donors.  None of these funds go towards any of the Ends Adventures Crew members. We are all donor-supported missionaries. Find out more about our financial transparency and accountability standards on our About page.
