A Special Service Project

‍Have you ever heard the stories of trafficked girls and wished there was a way you could help set them free? Ends Adventures and Wipe Every Tear invite you to see the full scope of what God is doing to break the chains of oppression in the Philippines sex trade industry.  You will gain a great understanding of Wipe Every Tear’s mission by meeting women currently working in the sex trade. The bars exist for foreign customers, so your presence is necessary to enter the bars where we can then help girls escape to freedom. You will also spend time with women in Wipe Every Tear’s care and pray for those in urban poor communities. Most importantly, you will discover more of the Lord’s heart to free and redeem all of His people.

Service In the Philippines

Wipe Every Tear exists to bring freedom, hope, and a future to young women in the Philippines caught in the commercial sex trade and human trafficking. We offer safe housing, education, discipleship, and holistic healing to help these amazing women reclaim their lives. 

Human trafficking is a huge issue in the Philippines, with over 700,000 people enslaved. It’s prevalent in tourist spots where the demand for commercial sex is high. Widespread poverty in the nation leaves people vulnerable, and traffickers often target those from indigenous communities or rural areas, tricking them with fake job offers as maids, waitresses, or entertainers.

Wipe Every Tear is dedicated to setting these girls free. We go into bars, offering a way out. For those still trapped, we provide meals and outreach services; we love and honor them through banquets and the opportunity for all-expenses-paid getaways, and we invite them into care. For those in our programs, we provide safe housing, three meals a day, mentorship, college-level education, support for their kids, and spiritual discipleship. We’ve welcomed countless women into our homes, where they find freedom in the name of Jesus, and their lives, and the lives of their children, are forever changed.

We dream of liberating hundreds in captivity, but we can’t do it without your help! That’s where you, the Ends of the Earth Cycling Participants, come in. We need friends who will pray with us, raise funds, and join us in the Philippines. The bars in the sex trade mainly cater to foreign customers, so it’s super important for international participants to help us reach the women stuck in this cycle. We’re inviting you to join us and stand with us because SHE IS WORTH IT, and it’s all for HIS glory!

Our version of "glamping": we provide indoor lodging for orientation and all nights of the tour within the sanctuary of a church along the tour route. Hotels are an optional cost to you. You will be responsible for getting yourself to and from the hotel.

Wipe Every Tear (WET) will pick us up from the airport around 10a-11a.  Lunch with Staff, Check into Casa Lilly, orientation, Evening dinner at Hope House

Enjoy a meal with the team, worship and prayer and evening ministry to bar girls. 

The days are light with opportunities to explore the city, rest, and potentially serve local churches.

Serve bar girls at a special banquet in their honor.

Travel from Angeles City to Puerto Galera for a 2 day / 3 night all-expense-paid retreat for bar girls and the WET staff.

Ministry of presence: listen to the girls share their stories, enjoy the beach and adventuring on the island with the girls, pray with them, be present. Each girl will also be met with by WET staff to be invited to leave the bars and come under the care of WET.

Debrief at the hotel and dinner together as a team

Fly back home. You may actually arrive back in the United States on October 31st.

What To Expect

Only The Good Stuff

  • What’s Included: 
    • All food, transportation, lodging, activities while in the Philippines.
    • Travel insurance 
    • Ministry Expenses: 
      • putting on a banquet for approx 150 bar girls
      • a 3 day getaway for up to 25 bar girls.

         

  • What this does not include:
    • Your flight to and from the Philippines. 
    • Personal mementos in the Philippines (gifts and trinkets), snacks, soda’s & extras. Any extra meals outside of what is provided by Wipe Every Tear.

       

  • The payment deadlines for this ministry service event are as follows:
    • $60 application fee – deadline June 30
    • June 30 – $2000 due to secure your place on team
    • August 15- remaining balance due
  • No COVID tests required
  • No vaccinations required
  • Tap water is not safe to drink.  Only drink filtered/ bottled water.  
  • It’s recommended to use a combination of cash and cards.  Many locations in the Philippines do not take a credit card so it is important to have some cash. 
  • Per the request of Wipe Every Tear and their Philippines staff: We will need all trip participants to download Facebook and Facebook Messenger.  This is what we will use to communicate with the group.  We would love to have the Facebook page and the Messenger line put in place 2-3 months before the trip so that we can communicate and plan together. 
  • Very Important!!!  Within 72 hours of arrival in the Philippines, you must have an electronic declaration form completed. Go to: https://etravel.gov.ph. (More info on this to follow)
  • Please dress modestly for the entirety of our trip together.  While we are in the bars or ministering in church, men need to wear a collared shirt and women need to wear a dress or dressy blouse and nice pants.  No T-shirts or shorts for church.   During the day, more relaxed clothes are allowed.  Your shorts must go to the knees and be loose fitting.  No sleeveless shirts for women.  Women need to have their shoulders covered throughout the trip.  If swimming, a modest one piece swimsuit for women or you can wear a shirt and shorts over your 2 piece swimsuit.  
  • Lodging
    • Sleeping in hotels with air conditioning. (NOTE: While in the Philippines, please turn off the AC when you leave your room.  Only have it on when you are in the room enjoying it.)
    • Some hotels only offer a sheet as your bedding.  It is warm in the Philippines so this is usually not a problem, but if you are a person that needs more than that to sleep, you may consider bringing a packable travel blanket.
    • Clean single rooms with private/semi-private bathrooms 
    • Most hotels will have WIFI, but it is unreliable and poor quality.  If you need internet, it is much better to have an E-Sim or have an international cellular plan.
  • Food & Water
    • Tap water in the Philippines is not safe to drink.  Only drink filtered/ bottled water.  Many hotels will have a big jug of water in the hallway for you to refill your bottle.  These are safe to drink.
    • We will have opportunities to both eat at restaurants and bars as well as eat traditional Filipino food nightly with the team. Be prepared for everything from typical “Western” food to Filipino food that will include lots of pork, seafood, rice, and noodles. 
  • Bathroom Situation
    • Please don’t flush toilet paper in any city in the Philippines.   All toilet paper is to be placed in the trash can next to the toilet.  Most restrooms in the Philippines don’t supply toilet paper.  Always remember to carry some with you.
  • Type of Ministry 
    • Ministry to bar girls in the red-light district of Angeles City, Philippines.
  • Length of travel, time zones & Altitude 
    • Plan on it being anywhere from 16-30 hours depending on where you are flying from in the USA.
    • It will be a 12 hour time difference in October from the EST of the USA.
    • We  will be traveling extensively within the Philippines. You can expect to ride in cars, vans, buses, and boats through busy streets and countrysides.
